Bethanie Esprit - Entry Statement

Esprit is one of the newest editions to the Bethanie Aged Care villages and is located in Eaton just 15 minutes from Bunbury.

Armed with little more than a limestone wall on the boundary of the property, we were engaged to develop initial concepts for an entry statement that integrated with the wall structure and connected back to the building elements within the village.

Inspired by the natural pallet of materials already in play, a warm tonal approach was taken to communicate a country club feel within an Australian context, following our client’s brief.

A stacked stone composite product from CSR was used as an inlay to the existing recess of the limestone wall, which gives subtle textural detail when viewed through the relieved filigree pattern that is formed using the elements of the Bethanie logo.  Raised solid aluminium letters compliment the overall composition and due to the anodised finish, the letters take on the various moods of the day as lighting shifts and warms the signage to create an ever-changing spectrum of tones.

The entry statement now delivers an important sense of ownership and place for the residents through identification within their community.
