Holyrood Street Interpretive Signage

Lighting Up the Street

Publik worked closely with artist Anna Crane to design and fabricate projector housings as part of an interpretation project for the Town of Cambridge.

This interpretation projects local heritage images onto the trunks of Moreton Bay fig trees on heritage listed Holyrood Street, creating a unique entry statement. Publik developed MDF prototypes trialled onsite to ensure the correct fit of the projector units, ventilation, angles and distances could be achieved before full production began. Careful consideration was given to material selection and finishes as the units are exposed to the elements and a vandalism environment.
